Message-ID: <200610080046.21293.philb@philb.us> Hi, everyone. Today, we added the email addresses for many people who work at Wilford Woodruff Academy, and I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to this email list. Today, we were able to set up a very diverse printing setup at your school and I wanted to tell you about it. And I'd like to thank the people who did the work. Several people helped, but it was Tom, Derek and Aaron who did most of the work. Pardon me if I missed anyone. we got three of your printers to be available on the network from every Linux machine. The three were the big color laser in the office and the two inkjets near the teachers machines in two of the rooms. Hopefully the naming convention will allow you to figure out which printer you are printing to. Please let us know here on the list if you have questions or difficulties so we can sort it out as quickly as possible. -- My other computer is your Windows machine From wilfordwoodruffacademy at earthlink.net Sun Oct 29 19:30:37 2006 From: wilfordwoodruffacademy at earthlink.net (Wilford Woodruff Academy) Date: Tue Oct 31 17:49:52 2006 Subject: [School] Today's work at WWA. Message-ID: <15078589.1162168237883.JavaMail.root@elwamui-chisos.atl.sa.earthlink.net> Phil, Thank you for the work all of you have done to date. We appreciate your work more than words can say. The basis of our educational program is research and we would not be able to do it effectively without your assistance. As you suggested Phil, here is a list of what we need help with at the school this week. 1) The teachers computer in the K-3rd room is not working on the internet. 2) Several computers in the high school room keep freezing and we have to shut them down and boot them up several times a day which is causing the students to loose some of their research work between saves. 3) One of the computers in the high school room needs internet access. We had a new student enroll two weeks ago and we made a spot for him on the outside wall by the window. The internet does not yet hook up on that wall. 4) Someone contacted me and said a porno site was linked to WWA. Please consider it an emergency and make sure we are not associated with these links. The minds and hearts of our parents and students are too dear to allow such degradation to be associated with WWA. We strive to influence with positive and uplifting means through God's powerful and loving hand. Pornography is not a part of God's handiwork and we do not want to be associated with it in any form. We need your assistance in this emergency situation. Thank you for sharing your talents, gentlemen. We all appreicate each one of you more than we have words to express. In that clan is a user id named WwA-pORn. Other than that, I found about 11,000 hits on the words WWA and Porn by using the Google search tool. There are also hundreds of other people and businesses using the acronym WWA. You can't control this. It's not about you. > Thank you for sharing your talents, gentlemen. I'll get with our group and see who can come by to fix some if not all of these problems. The wiring will have to be done after school hours. Gentlemen, who has time this week to go over to the school and help out? I will bring those in today and then maybe we can borrow from the other side until the wiring is completed in that room. We have students on the other side waiting for wiring, also.
