[Leaplist] Improving my network

I've just been informed that I'm going to receive a D-Link DAP-2553.
This is a "business"-grade single-channel 802.11n/g A/P device that
has good received good reviews, e.g. http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-reviews/31078-d-link-dap-2553-airpremier-n-dual-band-poe-access-point-reviewed
The specific devices I have that I wish to attach include:
* iPhone, 11g (local media playback, improved network connection vs 3G
data service)
* Laptop(s), 11n
* Desktop, gig-ethernet
* Wii, 100mbit ethernet (software updates, downloads)
* Synology NAS, gig-ethernet (awesome Linux-based NAS)
Along with the DAP-2553 I also have a Linksys WRT54G with 11g and five
100mbit ports.
What I'd like to do is upgrade the network with either:
* Separate low-end firewall
* Separate gig-e switch
or
* gig-e wired router
What are good options to boost the network speed to gig-e without
having the 100mbit devices drop the overall speed? Or should I scrap
them all and just get a multi-band 11n / gig-e home router?
Thanks.
