[Leaplist] TouchPad Mouse?

Greetings: My wife has a problem with a standard mouse or trackball.. I
tried researching Touch Pad's but am overwhelmed.. Can someone
enlighten??

It looks like a Fellowes 99840 or Adesso GP160SB/PB might work but
eMails to the mfgr silent..

Can I presume that either of the above will "merely" plug into the PS/2
socket and work just like a standard ball or optical mouse; X11.org
legacy 2.4.x kernel??  TIA..
