[Leaplist] Another idea to test the audio.

Did the live CD thing (Ubuntu 9.10 really doesn't like this box unless I
disable X), and audio worked fine. Then eventually got frustrated and totally
ripped out PulseAudio in Fedora, then wound up reinstalling most of it.
For now, audio seems to be magically working alright again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Idea: download another distro such as Linux mint or Knoppix live-cd and test the audio using that CD.
Burn the ISO to A CD-RW and try it... This will cost you in time only. The reason I say this is
because I have a laptop that the audio only works good in Ubuntu 8.04 but works fine in
mint 7,mint 8 and the audio in Knoppix 6.2. I think it is called adelphia or something like that.
The sound in Ubuntu 8.10, 9.04 and 9.10 do not work even using alsaconf to find the sound card
and it sounds crappy at that...
I hope my 2 cents help and trying to keeping it simple.
Andy
The program said "Requires Windows 98 or better to run properly." So I installed Linux.
