They dropped it completely.
Most of the major ISPs dropped USENET services within a 1 week period
about a year ago when the AGs from several states got together and
threatened to prosecute them for distributing child pornography.

BH shut it down so suddenly that they still had a multi-year contract in
place with their outsourced provider. That is what isp5.newshosting.com
is. Eventually that contract will run out and it will vanish.

If anyone is looking for paid USENET providers I suggest altopia.com and
news.astraweb.com as a backup. Altopia is pretty good and surprisingly
cheap. Astraweb has a purely metered plan (you prepay for a block of
gigabytes) and they only charge your account when you actually download
messages. Astraweb doesn't count headers in your bandwidth block so you
can pull headers from them all day for free and only pay when your
primary provider misses something important. Both support NNTP over SSL
unlike isp5.newshosting.com.
