One was bought re-conditioned as a backup for the first, which has an insanely low page-count (2-3 boxes of paper). Both have the same problem. The hard bits and electrical bits are fine - but the rubber stuff has lost its magic.

These things were built like diesel locomotives (and probably share some parts) and if you're handy enough to replace the pickup/feed rubber these will provide you with cheap, reliable bw printing, probably until your IBM Model M keyboard dies, which will be several generations from now, if ever.

One has a maxed out memory cartridge (useful if you need to print images). and of course, they are 100% Linux-friendly.
