[Leaplist] Am I abnormal--linux<->MSWindows??

I bought a Samsung Point and Shoot camera even tho the salesperson said
I'll not be able to use it with Linux--only MSWindows.. Their guarantee
permitted a "trial" for seven days so-----.

Made some tests; dmesg told me the USB device name; and I've been using
it USB flawlessly for months.. I got to thinking, "wonder if I can make
it _easier_ by using the supplied CD's programs on a Windows 2K
machine".. I, also, thought I may be able to change the default firmware
that writes the actual jpg files two redundant directories down from
root..

After two hours of installing the software with several reboots, etc; I
found it MUCH easier using the old, original method..

Just wondering.. TIA..
