And that works too.

Removable 2.5" fixed disk.
Removable 2.5" NAND EEPROM.
Removable USB NAND EEPROM.
Others ... (not against LTO tape either)

It's really a matter of preference and storage requirements.
I just don't recommend people go without an off-line boot.

My really really important files are on several thumb drives in
disparate locations. Encrypted.
