[ I'm giving into top-posting with Yahoo Mail after mis-quoting someone.
Sigh, I wish there was a true standards-based webmail service that did
everything I wanted (no, GMail is not it, and yes, I've tried it recently, again).
I'll still cut, but I'll never paste. ]
Don't fix what isn't broken. If you have an old AGP system that does
everything you need, then don't change. Likewise I could easily afford
a new notebook with a GeForce Go 260M or 280M notebook with
quad-core Q9000 processor from System76 (they even come in more
portable 15.4" models with 1920x1200 resolution!), but I'm just fine with
my Gateway P-7811FX for now.

Now that I think, I already have the RAM, PSU, and case, but I don't have much
reason to spend the $150 or so on the mainboard and CPU. Plus, I rather like
my Ti4200 with dual head support in the AGP slot of the current box. Thing is
useful forever!
