After reading several posts about FF3.5 and Fedora, I went back up and
double checked my notes. I had an error when I made my check table at
the bottom of my report. Fedora 11 did indeed pass everything except
for the codecs. Thank you for pointing out my error.
Fedora pass Install and patch
pass OOo
pass FF3.5 + add-ons
pass t-bird configure and working
fail DVD playback due to no codecs found or available from the native
repository as discussed enough around here for the reasons why.
This is not to say I do not disagree with RH choice for not putting them
in there, but again the average user will A. not care, B, not understand
why their DVDs and MP3 do not work or even what a codec is for that matter.
