The problem with grub is that I cannot specify an ISO file as a boot image.
I'll give you an example.

I downloaded a firmware update CD for a server I am working on.  The update
CD is in ISO format.  I will probably use this CD one time.

The CD is some wacky custom Linux distro that HP made.  I would love to just
stick the ISO on some external USB device and then have that device emulate
a CD drive.  That's it.
