Danny this is a huge area that needs much work.  I run a (a being 1)
copy of windows here, in fact the only reason I run this windows box, is
to support the digital modes available for ham radio.  I have played
with several Linux programs that do psk31, they worked well.  Don't
remember the package names.  The problem, they only did psk31, they
dumped all other digital modes, they didn't integrate to standardized
logging programs, didn't integrate to reflectors, nor eqsl..  the
interface needed much polish, its actually quite pitiful when you think
about it..  I kinda gave up on linux ham radio.  Another example.. 
SDR.   Only one Linux package out of about 20 windows packages.  In the
SDR world the one Open Source program, only supports ONE radio out there
which is a going an expensive direction, a direction that is going
exactly opposite from everyone else..    BTW what is your call?..   Fred
