Know a number of you are in the market for an upgrade. Normally
I wouldn't post something like this, but it's a pretty sweet deal for $62
after rebate ($76.99 shipped - $15 MIR) from ZipZoomFly:
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10011434

_Unlike_ a number of inexpensive Sempron LE-1100 + Biostar mainboard
combos out there that have a ViA chipset design, this is the nVidia MCP51
chipset (GeForce 6150 + MCP51). It's been around since 2005, NV44
GPU (should be well very supported by distros over the last few years, with
the 3D option if you want it), and the peripherals are all well Linux supported.

This has the CPU w/fansink already on it, a low-power, 45W TDP, single
core Sempron, but it has full 64-bit support. It's also a newer AM2+ mainboard,
which can take the new AM3 processors as well as the oldest AM2 (the new
AM3 processors use DDR2 in AM2+ boards). Basically you're paying $10
for the CPU+fansink, and shipping is free. You can always upgrade to an
Athlon II or Phenom X3, X4, etc... later on.

For those that normally shop NewEgg, here is the mainboard:

P.S. I have numerous Biostar nVidia MCP51 mainboards in use -- my
parents computer, my IPCop box, etc... Never had an issue with any of
them (at least not the mainboard/CPU). All of mine were S939/DDR, and
this is the newer AM2+/DDR2 (again, capable of fully supporting AM3
processors as well, which use DDR2 in AM2+ board). The NewEgg page
lists all of the supported processor series, which include updated BIOS for
the newer Athlon II / Phenom options.
