I ran into one job listing where they not only wanted resumes in DOC
format, but they insisted on having an up-to-date version of DOC. My
resume had been stored in some older version of DOC (probably 95?) and
when I used OpenOffice to update it, I just re-saved it in the same format.
Nope, no good! Had to save it in, at least, Word97 format so their
software could scan it. "Pathetic" sounds like a good word to use here!
