I'm using a HP OfficeJet F380 (Walmart variety F-series HP Printers) - in ubuntu via usb, shared via samba to the rest of the household. Using the HP [Recommended] drivers from Ubuntu's native printer list.

For Scanning, Xsane quickly detected, as did Gimp when I wanted to scan info a graphics program.
