Hardware requirements for Fedora 11 (and most Linux Distros
http://livecdlist.com ) are about mid 1990's.
Linux offers fantastic opportunities to recycle, to run GREEN, and to
save resources, money, time, energy, in the current recession!

Some of the Windows 'features' demand new hardware that isn't readily
available to the consumer.

What are your thoughts, and suggestions?

I am seeing the comments ( in my personal surveys of walking customers
in Costco ) about most netbooks being run on extremely crippleware XP
versions as a major reason consumers are not buying them, along with
their complaints of malware on the installed versions, courtesy of
Microsoft and "Added Value Partners"!

Linux has no mal-ware at install.
