It looks really good thus far.  It has a sane interface that makes sense to 
me.  It is backed by PostgreSQL, Sybase ($$), or Firebird.  I have to explore 
some of the quirks of how we handle stuff locally and work out any reporting 
deficiencies, but given the PostgreSQL data source I could theoretically work 
up my own external reports with a Rails app and Jasper Reports (with rjb 
gem).

Not sure why I didn't find this last year around this time...
