the CDs and DVDs that LEAP is already making will have paper CD
labels, designed by an artist (phil's wife.) i'd like to avoid a
situation where most of the CDs look really nice, but some of them
look bad.

if possible, please let us know what you plan to burn and how many. i
don't think phil's wife will mind designing one more label, and phil
probably won't mind printing one more set of labels to be placed on
the CDs (it hasn't been officially brought up yet, but at the next
board meeting i'm going to move that LEAP reimburse phil for the
labels and ink he's using to produce the labels. fair warning phil,
keep your receipts for the treasurer (hihi) and have a number ready
for us to vote on.)

we're also going to be putting the CDs into paper CD envelopes. if you
can do the same, that would be appreciated. let us know if you don't
have any, we can pick some up.

and if at all possible, come to the installfest on 2/7 and bring your
CDs with you. i think we're going to have several people "stamping"
the labels on to CDs and stuffing them into envelopes, there's no
reason you can't take advantage of the same assembly line for your own
CDs as well. plus i plan to bring my radio and stuff, so we can set it
all up and make sure it works with the "ham puppy" linux, and so that
i'm familiar with how the software works, so i don't look like an
idiot when showing it to people at the hamcation.

and of course if anybody else wants to try it, they'll be welcome to.
you don't even need a license: as long as a licensed ham is there at
the controls with you, you can legally transmit using their call sign.
