what is "BOLO"?
and would it be easier to use paper envelopes? i've always been a fan
of them, and we can get 'em fairly cheap- i think the local wholesale
places carry them, and 300 should be fairly cheap- even the "computer
junk" vendors at the tailgates and hamcation usually sell them for $4
per hundred, i know i still have an un-opened bag of 100, and at least
one box of 100, all white, sitting on the shelf in the closet, and i'm
willing to donate them to the cause if we want to use them instead of
plastic boxes- so if worse comes to worst we only need to buy one box/
bag of 100.
more importantly:
- - who's burning how many of which distros?
- - has anybody checked for a newer "ham distro", or does anybody (tom?)
want to have a(nother) go at mastering a new one?
- - i plan to bring my 857, a book pc and flat-screen monitor (the same
ones as last year), and we can do some digital- all we need is an
antenna on the roof, and hope that nobody else near us is going to
kill the signals when they demonstrate their million-watt amplifiers.
- - we probably need a computer for the front table, so people can try
out the CDs before they buy them.
- - are we able to get a projector screen from somewhere this year, so
we can show linux (or even better, linux doing "ham stuff") on the big
screen?
