[Leaplist] OOo question with large numbers

Hence why I've loved StarOffice since 3.0 in the mid-'90s.
If you know tables in Writer, you know cells in Calc, and vice-
versa. The same has _never_ been true of Word and Excel.
And the OLE "hack" was the work-around.

Although I've have my complaints with Writer and Calc over
the years (although most are Word Processor and Spreadsheet
in general), the "yes, we made an integrated, 'acts-the-same'
office suite from the get-go" has really, really always put MS to
shame.

The lack of feature additions from around 1999-2002, as it was
open sourced and the original XML designed, that allowed MS
to finally add several features that StarOffice always had. But
even still, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other things (especially
Visio v. Draw -- although Draw doesn't have many features of
Visio, I'll full admit) that don't work/act the same drive me
absolutely nuts.

In spreadsheet, right click the cell, select format, select -1,234.12
tables work the same way except you select "Number Format" select
currency, then you have the same selections as the spreadsheet..
