[Leaplist] Configuring dsl on Ubuntu 9.10

Absolutely it does; I was suggesting hooking up directly to the modem to
see if his DSL provider has the modem set up as a bridge or a modem. My
guess is that his provider has it set up as a modem, but that Ram wants
it set up as a bridge so he can pass the static address into his
firewall, otherwise, why bother. I have had both BellSouth and Embarq
set up modems as modems with NAT for clients who purchased a static
address. It baffles me every time.
