[Leaplist] standalone scanners

I used to use an old brand-X hand-me-down flatbed with a DB25 SCSI
connector. But it had its share of issues, like stalling 3/4 of the way
through a scan.
These days (for many years now), I use a hand-me-down HP ScanJet flatbed,
which is old enough to have both HD50 SCSI and USB, and it works perfectly
with SANE on both interfaces. Its dpi capability is so insanely high that
I've used it to create images of shorted pins on surface-mount chips on
circuit boards. For all my paper-like scanning needs, its perfect and I
have no reason to ever get anything else.
Of course I've gotten other scanners since, but they're all dedicated
high-quality/dpi film scanners made by Nikon.
