ok....while you did
give alot of info - you didn't say what's really needed.
Your
best bet is to read through the logs....you'll find them at:
/var/log/vmware
probably want to look mostly at the
'vmware-serverd.log'
Also, you didn't mention how you're
shutting down before exiting the GUI?....are you leaving the Guest OS'
running? You can check by going to the command line and doing:
vmrun list
That'll tell you which Guest OS' are
currently running.....before rebooting the machine (Host) - you should
make sure that no guests are running. Do a 'man vmrun' to get more
info about this tool....it'll help you start and stop Guest's without
using the GUI.
If you have shutdown / restarted the Host
Machine while the Guests were running.....you'll see a variety of
*.READLOCK and maybe some *.MULTILOCK files in your Virtual
Machine's directories - you'll need to delete them before the guest will
restart.
Let me know if any of the above do the trick.
