[Leaplist] Election Notes and Annual meeting notes

Last night we held the annual elections. They were supposed to be held
last month, but Tropical Storm Fey hindered our ability to hold
elections and renew memberships. Here are the results of last nights
elections:

President:             Aaron Morrison
Vice President:    Enrique Gomez
Treasurer:            Phil Barnett
Secretary:            Hank Lambert (Me)
Directors:             Bruce Metcalf
                               Derek Konigsberg
                               John Simpson

Also, last night we renewed memberships and held our official annual
business meeting. Phil Barnett opened the business meeting at 8:00 PM
and turned over the role of president to Aaron. Phil brought forth a
motion to supply the school we support with new LCD monitors for a price
up $1500.00. John seconded the motion and the vote was unanimously approved.

Phil also brought forth a motion to buy replacement UPS batteries for
the school for up to $100.00. John seconded the motion and the vote was
unanimously approved.

Finally, Phil brought up the issue of power in the InstallFest. The
current method creates a tripping hazard and could possibly overload the
single circuit. Someone (I believe Aaron) brought up the idea of 
re-arranging the tables, and Jesse brought up the idea of purchasing
rack power strips from Sky Craft. No decision was made, but all ideas
are welcome because multiple solutions might be implemented to end up
with the best results.

John made a motion to close the meeting and Derek Seconded the motion.
The meeting closed at 8:23 PM and the meeting after the meeting followed.

Congratulations to the newly elected board, and thanks for the
opportunity to give back to this group.
