Acquired this 'new fangled device' after wearing out the cable twice on
the previous two-button MS mouse.  The cable was cut and re-soldered the
first time, but thought I'd try polishing a new pod this time around.

The keyboard is also ancient.  It was an expensive Keytronic a customer
rejected, which I adopted.  Think it has outlasted at least three
computers (and I am still running W98 on a Pentium for e-mail and
document processing, though must admit am reluctantly migrating on a
newer machine to Evolution on SuSE).
