Start any OOo app. Hit F1. Select the index tab and type 'operator'.
In base, there is a subheading of 'default filters' that details the
conditional operators. == does not appear to be the equality operator;
just plan '='. You could also try 'queries;formulating filter
conditions' as an index term. There is an explanation of how the
comparators are transformed into SQL.
I've never used base, can you just use SQL and create queries to filter
based on the data field you are interested in?
