Decent at best, certainly not earth shaking. The problem with 70 volts and
bass is that you start needing to draw some serious current due to the large
excursions of the speaker cone and that is pretty much restricted by the size
of the 70v transformers.
Could you get a big enough amp and big enough transformers to do it? Yes, you
could, but it would cost a bleeding fortune. Other solutions become much more
attractive because they do a better job for less money. There is nothing like
having the amp near the speaker.
