[Leaplist] Fedora 9 impressions so far...

Just downloaded Fedora 9, haven't had a chance to try it yet. But I know 
with both Fedora 6 and 7 I had sound and video problems at first. The 
solution for me was to hook up to the "Livna" repository and install a 
package called "xine-non-free-codecs" or something similar.

One of the few things I dislike about Fedora is their paranoia about 
anything even faintly tainted by patents or other IP encumbrance. But 
once I found the Livna repository and can install stuff that is not 100% 
simon-pure "FREE" most of the problems have gone away.
