My first impression is:  Yes, it's great. :)

There are a couple of things I immediately noticed working better than 8.

First, yum seems to be *much* faster.  Using exactly the same PC and
connection as I have for years, the new yum is a big improvement in
speed.

Next, one of my laptops seems (as reported by glxinfo) to have direct
rendering working automagically.  This is a first for this laptop as
it "features" the ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M IGP video graphics, a card
that has never played well with ...well, anything before.
