I went to the web site for
gparted----at----http://gparted.sourceforge.net/index.php
I clicked on "Downloads." Here are the Options:
Downloads
GParted
Browse releases of GParted here
<http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115843&package_id=125754>
*LiveCD** * Browse releases of the LiveCD here
<http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115843>
Alternative download source :
GParted-livecd Torrent <http://www.tuxdistro.com/browse.php?cat=148>
A number of G parted releases are offered
from older
to the current release.
*LiveUSB*
Browse releases of the LiveUSB here
<http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115843>
At the moment I don't plan to use gparted
from a memory stick
I would plan to have Gparted on a CD and when I needed to use it to put
it into
a CD drive on the computer which I wanted to re-partition.
I don't understand the difference between a standard Release of G parted and
a LiveCD version of G parted. I do understand when speaking of an
Operating System on a LiveCD that such a LiveCD will boot a computer but
operation of the LiveCD won't change the content of the Hard Drive of
that machine.
I'm not askng for an explanation of "Torrent."
Which form of Gparted should I download?
Thanks much,
William
