all the more reason to show up. i can't speak for everybody, but when
i'm not busy rebooting the firewall, i'm usually there for the express
purpose of helping people with strange issues- although it seems like
the two most common issues have to do with wireless cards and video
drivers, neither of which i'm an expert on... i build servers running
linux, my desktop and laptop machines are running mac osx.

overkill. we already have our regular places for the "meeting after
the meeting"... and while we have changed for a month here and there,
we seem to end up back at the same places... so why change?
as for finding the places, if somebody is in from out of town and
does't want to mess with having to find it, there are plenty of locals
(myself included) who would be happy to give you a ride up to the
"meeting after the meeting", and then bring you back to your car when
it's over. just ask before or during the meeting, it's not a big deal.
that's one thing i've noticed about LEAP which is different from most
other user groups- it "feels" a lot less formal and structured, but it
seems to work just as well, if not better, than any other computer-
related group i've been involved with. maybe it's because most of us
are all just a bunch of laid-back people to begin with?
