It's not -- and now that I know there's an installfest each month, I
will. But this doesn't sound like a growth strategy to me.

I (mostly) do community outreach for a living. Principle 0 is: Make it
as easy as possible for people to find out about you and your
activities. Posting announcements on a separate list, with no
information in the announcement itself, violates that principle.
