[Leaplist] Linux Industry Certs... good idea?

Yes, getting a GOOD certification is helpful in the job market today.
Getting a certification that only involves you taking a multiple
choice test, however, is not as helpful , as the "paper tiger"
syndrome has spread.
Something like an RHCT/RHCE/RHCA or CCIE is more respected because:
1) The tests are 100% hands on
2) The test are hard (50% or less pass rate)
I know a number of employers in Florida who heavily certify their
employees for running Linux, and then have to work to keep those
employees. :)
