[Leaplist] Loading Debian

I am trying to load Debian on my desktop tower. I am facing two challenges and need help and guidance.

1) The DVD than I use is not offering me an option to create root of larger 7 GB ( I want to make root about 15 GB for contingency need). I am using the first disk to part the hard drive. 

2) There are altogether four DVD full of materials; what are the additional three used for after using the first disk to load OS.

And how do we load whatever is contained on the additional three disks?
