Create an account from which to post, and I advise you, if you will be
posting, to use your creative genius to invent a fake user name, and a
fake email address.  I like to be something like Me @ there.com  so, be
original.  You will meet a whole lot of real microsoft trolls and
absolute idiots.

then subscribe to the COLA or other groups under Linux in the search engine.

Most news groups are un-moderated and will usually contain fervent
ventings of foaming mouths, in their advocasy of M$, for about 60% of
the postings.

The rest are worth the visit.  Some great links are offered in some
messages.   I know how much some of us despise the Evil Empire, but,
after we wade through the crap, there is some treasure worth the work!
