Thanks guys - I should have done more homework on it. I do have a
PAE-capable motherboard (M2N32-SLI) and a dual-core Athlon 64X2 processor
which supports that also.

I didn't initially elect to go 64bit due to the prospect of
using virtualization. Now that I look more closely (research, research...),
VirtualBox does support 64bit hosts, so I'll be good. Looks like a CentOS
release is coming soon to my box. Maybe this new configuration will scream
when it's done.

Any major caveats to going 64bit?
