Hello LUG Installfest attendees.
As you know, tomorrow (Saturday) is the installfest.
We have a volunteer to help set things up in the morning. Please be sure that
she has something to do, like line up the tables, make sure the chairs are
spread around, help distribute the network wiring and power strips, etc.
Then, part of her volunteer work can be to learn something about Linux, which
is our mission in life. In order for her to help us, she must have some
knowledge, right?
I'm on call for work today and Saturday morning until 9 am, so I won't be away
from the house before about 11 am. Please help this young lady help us!

She only needs 5 hours
for her entire requirement and I thought perhaps you could work her
for 1 or 2 hours doing gopher jobs during setup and/or teardown and
other less technical stuff. If things work out, I'll let her stay
longer, but that might be her the limit of her energy and attention
span. She's smart, so she can be taught quickly.
If you don't need anything or are uncomfortable with it, that's
alright. I thought it might be good for her and interesting for me
(beats watching her sweep out animal cages.) I'll be there the whole
time if that makes a difference. If you have ground rules (and
everyone does), I can go over them with her.
Thanks
Walt

I'm hoping for the smart people. They at least have the potential to
do something sensible later. But then they would have been able to
pronounce "nuclear".
x x x x x You spelled that wrong. It's "noocular". Sheesh.
