I'm just writing my own for what I need using Ruby on Rails, but I need some 
custom stuff for tracking insurance policies, investments, and other niche 
data.

vtiger seems to be a less polished Sugar.  I can't get into the demo for xrms.

I'd be curious to hear what other crm solutions people know of.
