Good point. So, are there internal cards whose antennas are *not*
permanently attached directly to the card?

Um, okay, but if I'm going for an AP, what specific makes and models
would you suggest I investigate?
If you haven't any choices, what features should I be looking for in my
research?
I'll let you know about borrowing your ritter for a trial. (Not sure I
have any units with working wireless at the moment.)
