Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing. What a rip. I once got 3
cellphones "free" by signing up for 2 years. Well, two of the cellphones
broke, they refused waranty coverage because they were abused (coin scratches
from riding in my pocket), and it ended up us paying about $2400 for using
maybe 2000 minutes over the 2 year period.
I'm a Virgin Mobile man now. If my phone breaks I pay $15.00 at Walmart for
another one. Yeah, I have to pay 10 cents a minute (and 20 on my son's which
is hardly used at all), but if my contract phones had been 10 cents a minute,
I'd have payed $200 over 24 months instead of $2400. Those subsidized phones
and "netbooks" are just bait to get you hooked into an abusive contract.
