Forced command is excellent.
As John demonstrates above, it's not too difficult to roll your own backup
solution with `rsync`. Personally, I have been using Dirvish[1] for backups
since 2004. It is a wrapper itself around `rsync`, but manages most of the
image backup stuff for you.
