[Leaplist] Red Hat Training

I noticed on a recent post that there are Red Hat Training Courses in Florida and Texas. Any chance of one happening in Michigan? The local interests here in Bay City, Michigan, are generally behind the times even in the Microsoft world. You mention Linux around here and you get questions like "Oh, like Dave Lennox, the heater guy?".  I would like to learn more about programming and development with Linux, and I would appreciate any suggestions you all might have as far as where to start.
I am aware of some college courses nearby that include UNIX training, but I'm on a bit of a restricted budget, so any free study material would be a huge bonus.
