I hear you.  That is the reason I was looking into heading out to SCC.  
Funds are tight, but at least there I would have a chance at getting an 
education instead of waisting my time and my money like I just did with 
my A+ class.  FYI it did not prepare me for my A+ exam and I know a fair 
amount about computer hardware I just wanted to get "up to date" before 
I took the exam.

Now I have to waist more money and more personal time to study on my own 
even after paying $500 for a course that was misleading at best in their 
advertisement of it and I had to fight with the head of the department 
to even let me take the class without the pre-requisite.
