[Leaplist] I used hh instead of dd to wipe my disks

Hi all,

My box of drives got full. Five of the drives were under 3GB. Such a tiny 
drive does little more than waste an IDE port, the market value of a used 
15GB IDE hard drive four years ago was $15.00. Giving to charity would have 
meant time consuming multiple dd commands.

So I used hh -- heavy hammer -- a 32 oz hammer. I busted them so badly that 
every platter from every drive was either bent or shattered, all the 
circuitboards were broken clear through. I definitely voided their warrantys. 
Then I threw them in the dumpster. It took about 20 minutes to hh all five 
disks (one of which was 270MB).
