[Leaplist] IPCop Password

I just installed IPCop; I only installed 1 NIC at first so that I could keep
them separated between zones. The single card installed fine as the Green
zone, and I was able to remote into IPCop through Firefox. The problem is
that the installation never gave me the option to set passwords, so once I
got into the Web interface, I couldn't do anything. I Googled the problem,
and the only thing I could find is how to change the root password. So I
rebooted the machine, and went through the procedure of resetting (adding)
the root password. Even with that, when I connect to the machine through the
Web interface, I cannot do anything as it doesn't recognize the root
password.
Does anyone know what I did wrong, and how I can add a password for the root
and admin account? I did read that you have to set up DHCP before getting
presented with the option of setting the root password, but I believe that
would require a second card at the same time for the red zone (maybe?). I
was thinking of adding the second card for the red zone, but I don't know if
it will allow me to set it up without a password. Any help is greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
