[Leaplist] scp question

when i am using scp to copy a file over it normally will show the upload 
speeds to look something like:

35KB/s

but today i have been having an issue with uploading a rather large file 
(200M) and this is what it looks like:

HP_Installer_OJ4300_6300_v9.5.dmg 69%  139MB -118809.-1KB/s   00:0

what in the world is -118809.-1KB/s mean? does that mean i am sending 
less then 1K? or does it mean something else?
