yes, yes, possible.
The original firmware does go away, but it can be restored if you want
to . It is always possible to brick anything you are changing. the
net has quite a few de-bricking procedures around.. I have recovered two
from bricks. I have never bricked on, and have changed 5 to date.. Fred
