You want to run a server on a local network, to burn backups, administer
nodes. You reach into your 'cdrom toolkit', and get one of these, to
run a spare system as a server, from a livecd, or, installed on a hard
drive in a pentium class box.

XAMPP is a German server project. SLAMPP is the Slax based home server
version. http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

Runs live, in English, brings up Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, either on the
LiveCDrom, or installed on a small hard drive.

Also, I found them available on Sourceforge http:// and ftp:// and as
bit-torrent. Torrent files are on the above cited websites.
