[Leaplist] Booting from a usb drive

I have been misunderstood. I wish to boot from a usb hard drive plugged 
into a laptop. I want that drive (250 GB) to be my Kubuntu distro. I 
would like to install the distro on that drive and be able to boot to it 
(or Windows) when the laptop starts.
