depends on who you ask... if that linux is running on a laptop with  
wireless, or on a telephone or other embedded device, it can be pretty  
useful.

most of my uses of linux involve servers, so ethernet cables are a  
necessity... plus i have clients who are always breaking off the  
little teeth. carrying a crimper and a little bag of ends in my laptop  
bag has made me look like a hero more than once...
